Basics of the game
- Official WPA Eight Ball rules
- Gentleman call pocket
- Cue ball fouls only
3 player format
- Round robin format
- Six (6) individual games per player, 2 against each opposing player
- Break according to score sheet in the first game of each set and loser breaks the second game
5 player format
- Round robin format
- Five (5) individual games per player, 1 against each opposing player
- Break according to score sheet
Tie Breaker
- The team winning the highest number of individual games during the match will be declared the winner.
- If teams win the same number of individual games, the following procedure applies
- Teams will play the middle round again
- Round 2 for 3-player formats
- Round 3 for 5-player formats
- Each player will play their opponent one game in the tie breaker round
- Players will flip for first break, and teams will alternate thereafter
- Home team has the option of flipping or calling the flip for the first break
- Team with the most wins in the tiebreaker round wins the match
- Enter each team’s number of wins and losses in the comments section
- Points scored in a tiebreaker are not included in team or individual statistics
- Teams will play the middle round again
Handicapped Format
Individual game scoring
- Individual game winners receive 8 points plus one (1) win
- Individual game losers receive 1 point for each of their pocketed balls
Team scoring for eight ball
- Team score is the sum of the individual scores plus handicap points if applicable
- Team with highest team score is the match winner

Handicap system
- Player averages are based on their last 30 scores in a division
- Players competing in more than one division will have separate averages for each
- Captains will be furnished a list of established player averages (updated weekly) for calculation of team handicaps
- The team average is the sum of the averages of the players selected for the match
- The difference between the two team averages is the handicap for the match and is awarded to the team with the lowest team average
- Handicap points are added to the point total to determine the final match score
- If a player has not established an average, the player may play the match and his actual score will be entered as his average.
- If more than half of a team’s players in a match have not established an average, the match will be played for total points only and no handicap will be calculated.
- Handicap points are not included in team or individual standings
