Team & Individual Forfeits
Team & Individual Forfeits
Team Forfeit
- Captain of the team receiving a forfeit must complete a weekly score sheet
- Captain should enter his team’s players on score sheet and enter forfeit in opposing team’s section
- Place score sheet and team weekly dues in packet and make the normal drop
- Forfeiting team is also responsible for their weekly dues
- Team receiving a forfeit will receive 80% of the maximum game points available, i.e. 160 points in a 200-point format, plus one (1) match win
- Forfeiting team receives zero game points and one loss
- Players listed on score sheet receive credit for a week played toward tournament eligibility but not for individual end-of-session awards
- Under extenuating circumstances, the league may reschedule forfeited matches
Player No Show Situation
- Team captain will enter “no show” in the missing player’s slot
- In 5-player handicapped divisions, the “no show” will list an average of 32, in 3-player handicapped divisions, the “no show” will list an average of 38
- In handicapped divisions, opposing players receive one (1) game win and 8 game points for each forfeited game
- In no-handicapped divisions, the opposing players receive one (1) win for each forfeited game
- The “no show” receives a loss and zero (0) points for each scheduled game in the match
Tardy Player Situation
- During the first round only, teams may play around a tardy player
- At the end of the first round and each time a tardy player’s slot comes up, the missing player forfeits the game and receives one (1) loss
- In handicapped divisions, the opposing player receives 8 points plus one (1) win, in no-handicap divisions the opposing player receives 1 point plus one (1) win
- A tardy player may play in the next round
- If a tardy player has not arrived by the time all other games in the team match have been played, the match will be considered complete and the tardy player’s slot will be scored as a no show (see above)
Player Concession
- If, after starting a match, a player must leave before that match is completed, the player will be considered to have conceded and all remaining games will be scored 1-0 in favor of his opponent in non-handicapped divisions and 8-0 in handicapped divisions.
